The Stockholm-headquartered online casino games and software developer used an official Thursday press release to detail that its local NetEnt Americas LLC subsidiary was awarded an Interactive Gaming Manufacturer Conditional License by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board earlier in the week and will soon be able to offer a broad range of its products and services to iGaming sites catering to players in ‘The Keystone State.’

Erik Nyman, Managing Director for NetEnt, explained that the license award comes after PA Governor, Tom Wolf, ratified legislation in October of 2017 to legalize a broad range of iGaming services including online casinos. Although the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board recently postponed the official launch date for such domains, it has already received operator license applications from a broad spectrum of the eastern state’s land-based casino firms.
Nyman’s statement read…
“We are very pleased to be in the first round of approved vendors to conduct online gaming in Pennsylvania. This fits well with our strategy to be live with our products at the first day of market opening.”
NetEnt AB declared that the state with its population of almost 13 million people ‘has a long tradition of gambling on the land-based side’ and that it had already inked provisional deals with multiple operators in hopes of being able to ‘launch its games as soon as the market opens.’
